Finnoflag Oy was established in Kuopio, Finland in 1993. The company has concentrated in microbiological research and since 1997 the R&D efforts of the company have been targeted in developing commercial products for the microbe diagnostics process based on earlier research outcome. The emphasis has been on sample collection and enrichment and the improvement of sample quality during these work phases prior to final analysis.

Finnoflag commenced operations in the Kuopio Science Park Incubator Facilities and then in 1999 moved to more spacious laboratory facilities in the Innocum Business Centre in the neighbouring town of Siilinjärvi while still maintaining an office in Kuopio also.

Throughout its history Finnoflag has collaborated closely with leading companies in various business areas, academic and research institutions and key individuals in order to understand the business environment and to produce services and products that add real value to the field of microbe diagnostics.

During the years, over 50 scientists, university students and other professionals have worked with projects in the company or closely related to it bringing versatile resources, backgrounds and ways of thinking for the benefit of our customers.

The vision of Finnoflag is to become a leading technology development company in preventive securing of microbiological cleanness of products and production environments and in the rapid detection of pathogenic or otherwise harmful bacteria.
